Hello family and friends!!

I am in Georgia! I would love to give you a little taste of what life looks like here! The Lord is already doing amazing things not only in my life, but in the lives of my squadmates and leaders in the two weeks we’ve been here. I am so excited for this season of my life and know without a doubt this is what the Lord has for me right now; He’s got some good plans and it is so exciting.

To get into it, a normal weekday probably looks something like the following:

Wake up around 7:30AM in my tent.

Get up and down to breakfast at 8AM.

Devotions/Quiet time at 9 for an hour.

At 10AM we worship for an hour or just go right into a session where they may bring someone in to speak, or someone on the leadership of my team might teach.

Lunch is at 12:30 and then back inside at 1:30 for rotations. (Rotations are an activity we do once or twice a week like laundry, exercise as a squad, squad games all together, or cleaning up the campus. We switch off with other squads everyday, but each week looks the same.)

After rotations we have free time until dinner at 5:30PM.

Then we have team time (small groups within our squad) at 6:30PM for about an hour and then more free time until lights out at 10PM.

The weekends look different because it is Sabbath. There is not much on the schedule except meals. We’re given tons of time to spend with the Lord and get filled up by Him as well as to hangout and get to know our squad. This is such a good and needed time for me to rest and process all that I’ve learned during the week.

My squad is made up of 30 kids like me (racers), 6 team alumni leaders, 3 squad leaders, 1 squad mentor, and 2 coaches. The leadership here at AIM is outstanding. They love the Lord, listen to the Spirit, and deeply want us as students to thrive.

So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It has been hard, but so good. I cannot wait to see all the Lord has for me and for us as a squad over the next few months. With that, I would love to ask for your prayer for me and for my squad to just stay focused on the Lord and resist any ways the enemy might try and get at us. We desperately need more of Jesus and are longing to know Him and to cultivate a healthy community that is able to progress the Kingdom of God and encourage one another in our faith.

Thank you all for your support up to this point. I am beyond blessed by your generosity and the prayer coverage you all give me. I am so grateful to have such a supportive community and I pray the Lord blesses each of you as you have freely given to me.

Also, if you would like to send me letters or cards, there is an address I can give to you if you’d like to contact me that way! Just text or email me and I can give you more info about it. I’d love to be Pen Pals!

My team!! From left to right it is me (obviously), Vivian, Maddie (our alumni leader), Gracie, and Emily! I am so thankful for each of these girls already and cannot wait to get to know them better over the next nine months. (We dressed up for Squad Church on Sunday)

Our home… Tent City!

The walk to our tents. I am constantly amazed at the beauty and simplicity of nature and the vibrancy of the green here.

Love you all,

Bethany
