Hey friends!

Here are some photos of our time in Foley, Alabama serving with Samaritan's Purse!

This is our team for the two weeks! We consisted of my team, Yashab, the men’s team, Brosaic, (Broshab... see what we did there?!) our leaders, as well as some volunteers outside of the World Race!

This is a tree we cut down and shaped into a cross on one of our home owner’s property!

Just Maddie and Emily working hard :)

One of the many trees we had to tackle and clean up totally.

We got the chance to tarp several roofs, meaning we would cover a section of the roof with a tarp so it would stop leaking.

Katy and a cross shaped root she found. Jesus is everywhere :)

After we finished work on every home, we got to present a Bible to the homeowner. This was always a really cool experience because in our case, the homeowner accepted it gratefully and was so excited to have it along with the personalized notes we all penned in the front of the Bible from each person on the team. This is sweet miss Jane who was so thankful for the work we were able to do in her yard, as well as the friendships we made.

Our Samaritan's Purse Team Leader, Stan, at the surprise party we threw for him on the last day!

The party that happened. Confetti and all.

We were able to got to the beach on our Sabbath and see the sunset. A beautiful and surreal moment.

I wanted to give a little peek into what these past two weeks have looked like for us. They have been some of the most rewarding and fun, yet hardest weeks of my life.  I have never before been so tired and drained physically and emotionally, yet so full and content relationally and spiritually. I was blessed with meeting so many beautiful people. There were many tender moments of prayer, and encouraging times where we were able to show the love of Jesus to the friends we made in Foley. I was able to learn how to use a chain saw and a pole saw, how to be led by the Spirit in boldness and prayer, feel the full strength of a leaf blower, worship on the beach, and go to Walmart for the first time in two months.

More in-depth blog to come soon!

Love y'all!
