test

I don’t really know what to write about.

Here are some of my random thoughts:

Sometimes life does not look like we think or expect or want it to.

Sometimes God will show up in ways you never expected or never really wanted.

Sometimes you have to get excited about getting a Covid test with your squad because it is one of the only times you can leave campus.

Sometimes you have to just eat some freezer burned ice cream.

Sometimes you feel stuck.

Sometimes your laundry will have mold on it.

Sometimes you’re going to be convicted with things you have no control over.

Sometimes you miss your family. Like a lot.

Sometimes people you love will leave.

Sometimes the only way you can react to a situation is to worship.

Sometimes the best part of your week will be getting to dig in the dirt at a zoo for an hour.

Sometimes you have to just sit by a stream or lay in a field and think for a bit.

But, in the midst of these sometimes that my week has consisted of, I am choosing to find peace and joy in the always of who God is.

God will always meet you where you’re at.

God is always worthy of worship, even when you don’t feel like it.

God is not a God of chaos, but will always bring clarity in His time.

God will always pour out His blessings on you, even when you can’t see them.

God is always delighting in you.

God is always good in the midst of every situation.

God is always in control, it is not up to you to fix or know everything.

God will always work in the confusion.

I don’t have all the answers. I am learning. I didn’t even have one solid idea for the blog this week. But God meets us in the place where we run out. In our emptiness, He is able to work more effectively. He doesn’t need me to have all the answers or to feel comfortable or happy all the time. He just needs me to be willing for Him to work through my emptiness, and to accept that I am in total and desperate need of Him in both the hard times and the easy times.

Hope this isn’t too hard to follow.

I pray the Lord meets each of you with His perfect peace this week no matter what it may have looked like so far.

  1. Good stuff, Beth! I love how you are pressing into Jesus in the midst of the mundane, everyday, normal activities of your life and through the difficult days. I also love how you are choosing to look for God in small things and in the joyful times too. I love how God is conditioning your heart to look for Him in the midst of whatever you are experiencing. I’m proud of you! Love, Dad

  2. Bethany, some of the things you are saying are really ministering to me today. We can live a lifetime and forget these truths at times. Thank you for sharing. Grandad and I miss you and pray for you.
